Our Weekend

We had a pretty good Valentine's Day. We slept in pretty late and just kinda hung out in bed all morning watching tv and cuddling. Then we got up and had some waffles and sausage and bacon. So good... I ended up eating too much and having to take a nap, lol. I woke up to my brother coming in my room with flowers and chocolates. He is so sweet... he was getting ready to go spend the day with his girlfriend. I came downstairs and my mom and dad had also gotten me chocolates and a really sweet card. Then Bobby and I got ready to go out for our date. We went to eat at Smoky Bones in Kennesaw and then went to go see Friday the 13th. (We're HUGE horror movie fans, in fact our first date we went to see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre re-make, that was on Oct. 18th, 2003)

I can't believe this October we will have been together for 6 years, it's amazing how time flies with the one you love and have so much fun with. I can't even express how much I love my husband. We are so opposite as far as personalities go, but we GET each other. I know what every look he has means with out him saying a word, we have our own special language that I'm sure if anyone ever heard, they'd think we're crazy, and of course our finger pointing. I don't know why... we just point at each other at random times. I love all these weird things we do with each other, but lately my favorite is when he puts his face up to my belly and talks to our son and kisses him every night and most mornings if I wake up while he's getting ready. I get really sensitive about the amount of weight I've put on, but he doesn't care and tells me that I look beautiful. I am so excited to open up another chapter of our life once our little guy gets here... Ok, enough mushy stuff.

Today we had a pretty nice breakfast too: biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon and oatmeal. It was all excellent. Though I have developed some serious acid reflux. I had to take 3 tums after breakfast. Mom and I went to our weekly trip to Walmart for groceries, and then I took some more tums when I got home. For dinner we had enchiladas (one of my absolute favs) and I knew my esophagus would be a fireball afterwards, but it didn't stop me from eating them, lol. It was so good, but I think that's the last of the spicy/acidic foods I'll be eating for a while... It just hurts so bad, burping is almost torture at this point. Milk and club crackers help though. I'm a little upset that I have to give up OJ and chocolate. Mom said she had it really bad her last couple month of pregnancy too.

Maybe not eating so much chocolate is a good thing though, it'll force me to eat more healthily and hopefully get my weight under control. At my last appointment at 28 weeks I'd gained a total of 24lbs. I'm trying to not let my number of pounds past my number of weeks. So we'll see Tuesday at my 30 week appointment how much I gained these past two weeks. I just don't want it to be so hard to get weight off after the baby comes...

Anyway, that was my weekend. I hope everyone enjoyed their day with their honeys and had fun. Good night.
